Student guide

Step-by-step help for uploading and managing your student documents at Living Water Education. · Verify my Populi email

Welcome to the Student Documents portal

This site is where Living Water students upload and manage official documents for enrollment, immigration, academic records, and related requests.

Your files are stored securely and reviewed by the Registrar office. You can return anytime to add new documents or replace outdated ones.

1. Verify your Populi email

Before you can upload documents, enter the email address on your Populi student profile. The system confirms that you are an enrolled (or pending) student.

  • Use the same email you use to sign in to Populi — not a personal alias unless it is the one on your profile.
  • After verification, your name and student ID appear at the top of the portal when available from Populi.
  • Your session lasts about 2 hours. When it expires, enter your email again to continue.
  • Click Use a different email in the sidebar if you need to switch to another Populi profile.

3. Upload a document

Only documents that are still missing from your file appear on My documents. If everything is complete, you will see a congratulations message.

Under Immigration, answer whether you entered the U.S. with F-1 from your home country or changed status here — that determines if you upload I-94 only, or I-94 plus I-797/I-539.

  • Drag and drop a file onto the upload box, or click the area to choose a file from your computer.
  • Click Upload file to save. A confirmation message appears at the top when the upload succeeds.
  • Documents already on file in Populi or on this portal are not shown again.
  • Allowed formats: PDF, Word (.doc / .docx), and common images (JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, TIFF).
  • Maximum size per file: 25 MB.
  • Some categories allow only one file (for example, passport bio page). Others allow multiple files (for example, Living Water I-20 or bank statements).

Note: If a category already has a file and only one file is allowed, remove the existing file first, then upload the new one.

4. Document categories

Upload each document in the matching category. If you are unsure where a file belongs, use Other and the office will review it.

  • Enrollment Documents — Acceptance Letter; Application Form, I-20 Request Form; Living Water I-20
  • Academic Record — Academic Record: Diploma & Transcript
  • Financial Documents — Affidavit of Support Form; Bank Statement
  • Immigration Documents — Passport: Bio Page; Passport: VISA; I-94; I-797 or I-539; Documents for Dependents
  • Transfer Documents — Previous School's I-20; Transfer Form
  • Other — Other

5. Documents for dependents (F-2 and family)

If you have dependents on your I-20, add them under the Dependents section before uploading their files.

  • Click Dependents in the sidebar.
  • Enter the dependent's full legal name and optional relationship (spouse, child, etc.), then click Add dependent.
  • For each dependent, upload passport, visa, I-94, and related files under Documents for Dependents or Other.
  • Removing a dependent also removes all files uploaded for that person.

6. View, download, or remove files

After you upload, each file is listed below its category with the file name, type, size, and date added.

  • Download — save a copy to your computer.
  • Remove — delete a file from the portal (you can upload a replacement afterward).
  • You can upload additional files anytime in categories marked Multiple files allowed.

7. Who can see your documents

Only you (after Populi verification) and authorized Registrar staff can view or download your uploads.

Staff use this portal to review student files for enrollment, immigration, and record-keeping. They do not change your Populi account from here.

Note: This portal is for storing documents. To submit official forms (absence request, document request, CPT, etc.), use the department forms site linked below.

9. Tips and troubleshooting

Common issues and best practices:

  • Upload clear, readable scans or PDFs. Avoid photos that are blurry or cut off.
  • Use the correct category so the Registrar can process your file faster.
  • If upload fails, check that the file is under 25 MB and is a supported format.
  • If Populi verification fails, confirm your email in Populi or contact the Registrar office.
  • Keep copies of important documents on your own device as well.

Note: For questions about which documents are required, contact the Registrar office at registrar@livingwater.education.
